We’ve received more wonderful news about our founder, Dr. Deborah Ooten! Dr. Ooten has been invited to participate in the opening panel at May’s International Enneagram Summit in Lisbon, Portugal. The Connecting Views panel will start the conference and include four past & present International Enneagram Association presidents: Ooten, Maria Jose Munita, Uranio Paes, and Curt Micka.

Research has shown that gratitude is highly correlated with personal happiness. You may have heard the psychobabble term of “confirmation bias” that is backed up by numerous research studies over the years. Confirmation bias means that people will search for and interpret ‘evidence’ to confirm what they already believe. So if you believe everyone is untrustworthy, you will determine that if others do something minor, it will be used as confirmation that they are untrustworthy.

Congratulations Dr. Deborah Ooten and Cathy Hudson! Our founder and faculty member have been selected to present at the International Enneagram Association’s IEA Global Conference in July 2019. They’re looking forward to representing the Conscious Living Center at the year’s biggest Enneagram event.

All types have both positive and negative aspects. And, of course, what is most important is being a thoughtful, caring, kind and understanding human all in the name of love. I absolutely practice all of this with my grandson. So, what are some of the do’s and don’ts of typing children?

We have been accredited by the IEA for a number of years and are proud to announce that the IEA once again renewed this distinction in 2019. It seems that loving people around us at this time of year can be especially hard. Traditions must be followed, past hurts erupt once more, and a time when magical energy should be everywhere, we struggle to find love for others. We can get in the way of ourselves by attempting to force people and situations to be something they are not.

Did you know that in some over the counter supplements, essential oils may be added to formulas to provide therapeutic benefits which impact health? Many users of these products may not even realize they are ingesting essential oils and don’t realize what a profound effect they can have on their body.

The Enneagram’s scope of possibilities seem to open to us as we loosen our fixations and identifications with the groove of habit we’ve set up. This is an article of faith in the work. However,we may wind up in a place we did not anticipate with much delight,anxiety surprise or even humility. However our introduction to the work occurred, we encounter growth that was not conceivable (or perceivable) before we started the journey home.

During these changing times, it’s essential that we reflect on what’s important in life. At thousands of years old, the Native American Code of Ethics continues to provide spiritual wisdom on living well. Living by these guidelines will help you treat others compassionately, stay in contact with yourself, and remain connected to the physical world.
