Tina Neyer, M Ed.

Tina Neyer, Master of Education, works with individuals and families through writing circles, family mediation and life coaching. Her Bachelor of Liberal Arts focused on psychology, social work and theology. During her studies for her Master’s degree, she studied community counseling and was drawn to the power of mediation work rather than clinical treatment of mental illness. She is a certified divorce, truancy and business mediator. Tina has worked with highly trained writers and teachers to enhance the craft of writing and translate that to concrete steps in the practice of journal writing, community writing and pathways to publication.

The journey toward healthy family dynamics is the basis of Tina’s practice. She facilitates transitional situations such as divorce, single parenthood, child-rearing and remarriage with her clients. Tina has personal experience in the formation of a step-family with her husband 17 years ago. The children are now young adults and the family is strong. This experience, in particular, has led to a compassionate practice, bringing people to a place of collaboration. Early in their marriage, Tina developed a writing practice benefitting from a holistic approach to the practice of mindfulness.  Her workshops focus on writing with purpose. Individual coaching exposes a client’s root fears revealing pathways to healthy thinking. Tina has guided numerous writers toward publication, it is one of life’s pleasures.

Tina has implemented anti-bullying campaigns in local school, presented to the All Ohio Counselors Association annual conference. She served on the board of Women Writing for a Change and is a presenter with that organization. Tina has served on the board of the Dayton (KY) Heritage Museum, helping to create the organization. She has served as a court mediator for Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties in Ohio and Campbell County in Kentucky. She is a member of the Association of Writing Professionals as well as the Association of Conflict Resolution.  She regularly facilitates pilgrimages to Rome and Assisi. In 2005, she was named as one of Deloitte, US One Wise Women of Cincinnati.
