Body Consciousness Practices

The Conscious Living Center offers Iyengar Yoga, Psychocalisthenics® and Kath State Meditation® practices to increase consciousness through the body. Yoga is an ancient practice of developing and deepening awareness while increasing strength, flexibility, balance, and sensitivity. Iyengar Yoga emphasizes awareness of alignment and the use of props to make the yoga poses accessible to everyone. Psychocalisthenics® and the Kath State Meditations®are movement exercises, originating from the Arica School founded by Oscar Ichazo, which increase vital energy, awaken all the centers of the body, and increase strength, flexibility and balance. Psychocalisthenics®is a series of exercises coordinated with the breath that strengthen and stretch the body, bringing circulation to all the organs and muscles, while increasing awareness and energy in the body. The Kath State Meditations®are a series of movement meditations based in Tai Chi, which brings greater vitality to the body, clarity to the mind, and balance to the emotions.

Beth O'Hara
Beth O'Hara is a Certified Enneagram Teacher/Trainer in the Narrative Tradition and a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor. She is adept at assisting others in faciliting change through awareness of the body, mind, and emotions.
